Medical Missions in South Asia, 2023

Nestled amid the South Asian mountains, a medical mission trip unfolded as CCF Beyond’s first Short-Term Missions after the pandemic, leaving a lasting impact on hundreds of individuals, both physically and spiritually. This transformative journey not only brought blessings to countless lives but also paved the way for enduring relationships, all made possible by the grace of God.

Here are what our STM volunteers have to say:

God has called us to serve and it is difficult for a person to do that if s/he has not yet known and surrendered his/her life to God.

-Doc Ren

Truly, Obedience is the key that unlocks God’s promises and blessings. Blessings that I could have been missed out if I disobeyed the leading of the Holy Spirit.

-Gould

I already knew that God is an amazing God, that He works mysteriously, that He will walk with you if you obey. But during this trip, it’s a different experience seeing Him in action, working things out and stretching the entire medical team without us being exhausted. He is alive and with us that every day, we can’t comprehend how to thank Him enough for all the works He had done for us. His power, His name and His works were magnified during our trip. Really all glory, praise and honor belong to Him alone.

-Liz

I realized that I cannot really get away with my weaknesses. The fund raising was God’s way of getting my attention. I’m a professed self-sufficient independent woman and I have never tried to ask nor borrow money from anyone. God revealed that I had a wrong perspective with fund raising and that I was not fully dependent on Him. God gave me the wisdom that the fund was not for myself but for His kingdom and that I will receive it from Him through the people that He had already appointed. To God be the glory!

-Genjie

We had the opportunity to join the worship service of a local church. Our team leader delivered a message, and two of our members shared their testimonies. We performed a Filipino worship song and invited the attendees to join us in the actions. Following the worship service, the team was asked to pray for the healing of a few members of the church. It was the first time for me to lay hands and pray for healing in a public setting.

-Anna

I would like to encourage the future STM participants, to just keep on pushing on especially when you feel like you are not enough and when doubts kick in, always keep in mind that you are chosen to be part of the team because God knows you are the fittest to do the role. The thought of it will make you think that it’s very uncomfortable going to places you’ve never been before and having to adjust, but you can only prove the purpose God has in store for you if you will have faith and you will be brave enough to answer the call and be there and carryout the mission.

-Kim

Serving is not just about doing my best but also doing it with a right heart.
